new to r3v, but not e30s

so ive had my e30 for about 10 months now, ive mostly been lurking around on bimmerforum and e30tech. i joined here a while ago and kinda forgot about this site when stupid Firefox deleted all my bookmarks .

so anyways just wanted to say hola. i have a 1990 325ix, 2 door, 5 speed, sterlingsiber-metallic. when i first got it, it was pretty rough, it leaked EVERY fluid, barely ran, missing a lot of parts. but now i feel its closing to being done, although it will never really be "DONE". im replacing that stupid rubber antenna next week with the oem hirschman torque changing one btw. i also have a 1987 325 (the one thats too crappy too even have the E) that does not run, and im planning on restoring next summer. my rides:

installing my stock bmw head unit hopefully tomorrow if it comes in the mail :p

yes thats a CAI, im putting in a heat shield soon so don't hate please

also next summer i have to fix my screwed up front bumper

    15" ix weaves

today i just put on 14" blizzak ws-50s with bmw snow hubs and caps

    my 325, its a project

sorry for all the pics, i get carried away sometimes when it comes to my e30 :D

Looks pretty clean. What head unit are you planning on running? Are your 15" weaves for sale?

I don't think he's selling. By the sounds of it he's using those as summer wheels and using the steelies with hubs for the winter. CT winters can be rough.

          Yes, nice IX though.

the stock head unit from a 90 325is. my old one broke, and i like the stock look. heres what it used to look like. the new unit will be in better condition. next summer im also doing a 13 button obc conversion.

and the steelies are for winter, and weaves for summer. thanks for the nice comments guys :)

I always wanted an ix. And I love that color. A lot can be said for a stock looking e30, and ix's are one of the few that in my eyes are perfect with less mods.

What are those stock headunits worth? Ill most likely be selling one soon and I am curious as to what they go for.

depending on condition and model they'll go for 10-50 bucks. the one i had in the picture above i paid 15 for. im getting a better condition one for 40.

Paid $25 for that exact same radio, year, make/model, everything. Some people say that the infrared adjuster is shit. I'd like to know myself, but I never got around to installing mine...
