1700 $ 23 year old car with
THE NOT-SO-GOOD
The paint’s clear coat is peeling. I believe that it could be wet sanded and clear coated again, I just haven’t had the time or the money to do this.
The rear wheel cylinders are leaking and need to be replaced
The car smokes a little on start up, but I believe it is because it was a little overfilled last time I changed the oil (a few weeks ago)
The front right tie rod needs to be replaced. Again, I haven’t had the time or money to do this, but it needs to be done to preserve the new front tires.
The front rotors need to be replaced. They are grooved.
The driver side window motor does not work anymore.
The A/C does not work
The Front seats don’t look great because the seams are coming apart, the back seat are in great shape though
Only the right rear speaker puts out sound. I believe there is a short in the wire somewhere. They all worked until the new CD player was put in. Circuit City said they could make them all work, but they were going to charge me like $100 just to run new wire. I decided to do it myself, but haven’t yet.
Between 3100 and 3250 rpm the engine coughs sometimes, I have no idea what it is, but it does it every now and then in that very small rpm range.
The dash is cracked in several places. It had a plastic dash cover from BMP Design, but it was warped, so I took it off.
3rd gear crunches a little if shifted at higher rpms (>3500)
The accelerator pedal bracket is bent, so it doesn’t hold the bottom of the pedal well.
The power steering return line leaks a little. I have the replacement hose, but haven’t tackled the project yet. I will include the return line with the car.
The sunroof will need the seals replaced soon, because in heavy rainstorms it leaks.
It will not pass county emission inspection. I believe that it is due to a bad catalytic converter.
The driver’s side seat does not bend forward to get in the back seat. I have no idea why, but it just stopped doing it one day. It feels like something is stopping it inside, but I haven’t taken a close look at it.
The rear tires will need to be replaced soon.
The speedometer does not work
The fuel gauge needle does not work, but the light comes on when the fuel is low
HAHAHA
