That's the smallest of the 3 batches of parts that I've shipped.
That JVC box took 30 minutes to chop apart and get to the right size and shape, and another 20 to tape it all shut. It's 1/4 inch thick cardboard, and it was a BITCH to fold.
Rookie....I ship 40+ packages a week aside from working fulltime and taking 9 hrs a semester.5 helpful hints.1)Use the shipping label option Ebay provides..saves time writing or typing info.Everything is prefilled.Tracking is free and emails sent automatically.2)If under 1.0 lb ship USPS priority.anything over 1lb goes UPS(although FedEx is cheaper but you have to type all the info in) .3)take advantage of USPS FREE priority mail boxes. The saving really add up. 4) Order Free peel and stick labels from either UPS or FedEx and use with any carrier. No need to buy them from USPS.This again saves lots of money and time.5)Crushed newspaper is the BEST packaging for most anything.
Some might be common sense but youd be suprised at what Ive seen people do instead. If you need any more shipping advice just ask.

Ditto. Lucky for me We had a huge collection of boxes in the attiv from when My Grandfather moved. I've slowly dwindled down the stack. If you ever have to ship another cylinder head 4 sewing machine boxes work great. There nice and stiff and you just slide one over each side and over lap then slide another 2 boxes over those and tape it all shut. Quick and easy and the package is very strong and won't fold under the weight of the head.(I've shipped 7 BMW cylinder heads from m10-M50)

Yeah, I already do almost all of that. We have a USPS in the video store I work in, and I work in it about 3 hours of eachy day I work at the video store, so I'm getting my shipping methods down pretty damn well.
And part of what I meant by saying that I hate parting out E30's is that this time and the last time, I don't have a car. It's hard to get someone with a car large enough for all that shit to give you a ride.
Its pays off in the end right? I'd deal with it just to get money
I'll have made $2400 total next week. Not bad for only paying 1k for the car.

It's VERY worth the effort. I would probably do them on a regular basis if I had the proper place to do it. My house right now just has a driveway in the front, and my wife as well as myself don't want a different ripped apart car sitting in the driveway all the time. Once I move, if I have the room, I will probably buy wrecked ones and be parting out an E30 fairly regularly. It's great money, and I've learned A TON taking them apart. This is my third one parting out now.
