    ENGINE OIL pressure warning light

    I have a Question I did a OIL change last week . Here is the problem the engine Oil pressure warning light keeps coming on and off before and after the oil change should I be worried?.Tonight after driving back home the light came on again this time the light stay on. should I be worried. this light has never came on before.:crazy:

    I've always been proud of being a Marine.
    I won't hesitate to defend the Corps

    Well either your oil pressure is too low to leave the engine running.. or its faulty.

    You can either guess its faulty and ignore a potentially fatal warning light, or you can replace it and see if the light stays off.

      what does the part looks like so if I understand this correct I am looking for oil presure sensor Correct?..

        Thats right...the oil pressure sensor can be found close to the oil filter. If I remember correctly, its the closest part to the oil filter with a wire. Best way to get to it is to raise the front of the car.

          do you think I hit the wire by accident when I replace the oil filter.

            If the wire is brittle, yes it can break off.

            Clean the area around it with some brake cleaner. Then see if the problem persists.

              When I changed the head on my e28, I left it off by mistake. It came on sporadicly (spelling?) until I realized what I did.

                            well took the car to the lift no luck I could not find the Oil pressure sensor?.
                            any member have a picture of its location
