1st off that is not "real" ground wire, its power cable.
2nd it says JDM right in the disc. so they are just applying them to all cars and trying to sell a grip of them
3rd Grounds and better grounds always help. But you dont need to buy a red ebay kit to get off to a good start. just be sure that all your grounds are of good contact and are mounted to a clean surface clear of paint or plastic. and be sure to use good metals. not some oddball plastic coated washer or something

better yet, make your own. go buy some 4-6 gauge car audio ground wire (in whatever pretty color you wish), buy some terminals (gold plated for the bling factor) and swap all grounds.

Amazing - how do guys make money on an auction like that - his fees are going to be a buck or two - and it will never sell...? What gives?

im not sure if it would work on our cars, but ive heard the ground kits with the condenser helps stabilize the voltage much better than just wires. But for such a small mod its pretty pricey.

i have PLENTY of larger gauge stereo wire and gold connectors around to make my own, if it was something that was beneficial. i am not having any problems, though, so if i wont make a difference I'll put my effort elsewhere

I hate these things. Why are they so popular? A bunch of my Nissan buddies are oogling over these. Maybe its the bling factor? To me its saying "I dont feel like fixing my dying stock grounding so im going to ground on EVERYTHING". If this thing really does help your car, it was pretty fucked up and neglected.

                    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

What is "real" ground wire? Type UF?

Anyway, if you want to prove to yourself you don't need it, grab a decent digital multimeter with a MIN-MAX function. Connect the red lead to a good clean ground on the body, and the black lead to a good clean ground on the engine. set the meter to MIN-MAX, and crank the engine. There's your voltage drop.

it does work on some cars though, i did it on my a-2 jetta ( "the big 3" ) better ground cables to the chassis and the battery, better power from the battery out, and bigger cable from the alternator to the battery, all using gold plated terminals. it did make a difference, but they didn't have the best grounding to begin with. i did this after going through and chasing and fixing the bad grounds to begin with. i just wanted to give it it's best chance to work as designed
