How many cams do you have? Are they swivel mounted or do you just have like 6 on the car?

Thanks everyone, the kind comments are appreciated.
Like CDoos - this is my 4th season doing HPDE events.....most of my seat time has been at Watkins Glen...this event featured in my video was my days 13 and 14 at the Glen
GoldE30 - that is indeed a M42 318is....the car is all about handling...what I love to do is to run down and pass faster cars. First car was a 996, then a M5 then a S6.....As I dont have to pwer to outrun them in the straights, I have to make up distance in the braking zones, turns and exits....believe it or not, most cars will corner at similar speeds...my 318 corners almost as fast as a purpose built 911 race car...to see momentum driving in action, just watch the last 45 secs of the video and watch me put major distance between myself and the S6 and all of this on street tires...

I only have one camcorder....every time I go out on track I change the point of view. Each 60 minute tape is good for 2 seperate angles....I used 4 Hi8 tape son this outing but only got 6 views instead of 8 because I was trying to get some decent audio...Originally posted by kencopperwheatHow many cams do you have? The remote cam does not have audio capability..This remote cam plugs into my video in jack on the camcorder and then I just hit record to capture video..

Thats about right on the back straight...Front straight was about 112-115. I would take the car up to 6500 to 6700 rpm. Corner speeds ranging from 65 to 85 mph...on street tires (BFG G-Force KDs). Im sure much higher speeds would be attainable with race rubber...which will be my next set of tires :twisted:Originally posted by E30godzredlining 4th....so i assume upwards of 120

That was some seriously nice footage you got, I'm diggin the angel from the front of the hood looking towards the driver, classic shot.
Guessing you've became pretty good at trail braking by now

Are you sure thats an S6? The S6 coupe never came to the US. Must be an S4?
And yes, you have serious skill. And what is that on your keychain? I can't tell...Reminiscing...Comment

Me neither. But the fact that it was hanging sideways is pretty damn sweet.Originally posted by M42TecknikAre you sure thats an S6? The S6 coupe never came to the US. Must be an S4?

Audi brought over an 5 cylinder single turbo S6 model in the early to mid 90s. Ive only seen less than a half a dozen so they are a bit rare. Any idea what kind of times you were turning? I doubt what was shown on the video is accurate, as it had you at around 3.00. You definitely run a different line than I do in some corners, and going into the toe, I brake a lot later. Some of that is likely attributed to my driving an E30 M3, but I would be interested. Who do you run with? I am headed out there at the beginning of July for a COM event, and hope to be back a month later for 3 days with RTR PCA.
