Ya, its got to have a point. You know those little emergency hammers they sell? The ones that look like a balpean but w/ a sharp point on the end and a slicer to cut the seatbelt? THose are supposed to break a window with one swing because of the point. I dont know if it works, but I do know that is the idea, a blunt object usually wont work.

Most of those take EXTREME brute force, I recall seeing a TV special on how most of them won't really break a window that easily. They can tear a seatbelt okay, but not break the window.
