    It was developed for sand. If you blow a bead in soft sand, using a jack is difficult, especially if you aren't using one modified for sand. Most people do that but getting rid of the wheels and making skid that runs the width and length of the jack.

      ^^Spot on, made for sand snow mud etc where a hydro jack would sink or be unstable,
      not uncommon here, I have had some experience with them 4x4ing in the desert.

        Also, I don't know what's up with the "Made in China" link. The one pictured is an ARB unit that is made in Australia.
