horrible noises coming from tranny tunnel..

Started yesterday on the way to school and it sounds SOO bad. There are times where it sounds like shit is ripping off the car, so I'm guessing it’s the guibo and there is rubber ripping off of it? The noise starts to pick up as soon as you get moving.

I'm planning on parting the car in a few weeks after I pick up my new ride. I'm going to check out to see what the problem is. If it is the guibo shredding to pieces, will the car be "drivable" just for another two weeks?

Yup, you guessed it. As to whether or not you can gimp it along...you be the judge.

Someone else chime in though, lot's of people on r3v have weird noises coming from their backdoor tranny tunnel.

Ur the judge on that, but just think about what its there for. If it goes your stranded so I'd be leery about driving it more with a bad guibo.
