Willing to Pay Reasonable Amount of Cash for 89-91 325i(is)

If any of you with solid 325i's want to sell and you are within reasonable distance to the washington DC area, please contact me at jonmacs@aol.com
To be honest I would actually like a nicely modded car, but the only real important issues are 5-speed, well maintained, no rust, solid paint, and distance to me. there are a lot of nice cars in here and I would like one as my daily driver. many thanks.

I have owned and driven the following over the past four years:

2000 = 1995 Volvo 850 N/A (owned this car from new, finally gave out at 5 years)
2001 = 2000 C230 Kompressor (miss this car for it reliability and simplicity; sold to get some more power and ditch the auto)
2002 = 1998 4-Dr M3 (woman decided to hit the car at 35mph totalling it because she thought it was a brilliant idea to make a right hand turn from a center lane when I was in the right lane, not a pretty scene).
2003 = WRX blue, tons of fun tuned it up and sold it when I bought my race car at the end of 2003
2003 = Spec E30 Race car (obviously track only, not yet perfect but getting there slowly)
2004 = 2001 F-250 Crew Cab Short Bed Diesel (Replaced WRX with tow vehicle for race car)
and now, I need a daily driver. Being as the cars I have driven in the past were nothing like e30's I figure why not use one as a daily driver so that I will know it a bit better come race day.

Thanks and I hope my novel has helped.

I wish I could say that I had pictures of either, but to be honest I don't. Baring any enormous disasters, the car will be at the Hyper Fest in July at Summit Point with a fresh coat of paint and the new engine. Our other team car will be ready by then as well so we will definitely have pictures for you then. Sorry to disappoint.

              John,

How far outside of the NoVa area are you looking? I always keep my eyes peeled for nice m20 cars out here in the columbus/central ohio area, if I see anything decent, I'll pass it your way.

I am willing to fly to pickup the car, I just do not want anymore than a days drive to get back home. So I think that Chicago, Boston, Atlanta triangle is close to my limit unless the deal is incredible (then I would have it shipped).

                Thanks for the help.

I've been lookin' for 3+ months and I'm finally closing up a deal on an 89 325is. It just takes time a patience. Keep looking around your area and you will find one. The key is patience. Just keep looking on Autotrader.com and in your local newspaper. Don't compramise on what you are going to buy just because you are impatient, but when you find the right one jump on it.

whats up man. Im from the DC are...potomac to be exact. I know plenty of e30 pple around here and once i see one up for sale ill let you know asap. Just be quite patient and youll find a sweet e30. I researched my car for a while and ended up with a sick ride.

By the way...ill see at Summit. I will be there with the DTMrace crew, definetly should meet up.

all three of you thanks for the responses.

Sly: I am checking that car out for the fun of it.

Carcas: what exactly does your DTM team participate in besides supporting Dado's drifting? Thank you for volunteering to let me know. I really appreciate that offer. My e-mail is jonmacs@aol.com if you come across anything.

He went to the Drift Practice just becuz the pple there offered him a spot last minute and he said why not.

plus...BMW CCA has nothing to do with drifting. We currently have one car running in the season which is Sunir's m3. Dado's is still in the process as we speak.

when i see an e30 that is nice i will let you know. Hope to see you over at Summit
