I think it looks like the caliber.
I have no use for the "crossover" type vehicles.

I'd take one. I think they look sweet. This doesn't hurt:

    All-new twin-turbocharged V8
The range-topping X6 xDrive50i is propelled by an all-new twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 unit producing 407 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 446 pound-feet of torque between 1750 rpm and 4500 rpm. The sprint to 62 mph takes just 5.4 seconds and fuel economy is estimated at around 19 mpg (U.S. gallons).
The engine is designed as a replacement to the company's current 4.8-liter naturally-aspirated V8. It is expected to filter into other models like the 5-Series, 6-Series and 7-Series in the near future.
The engine seems to represent the second stage in a shift at BMW from high-displacement naturally-aspirated motors to slightly smaller turbocharged powerplants. BMW's twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that powers the 335i and 135i has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews, and it appears BMW is hoping for similar results with its new V8.

A Twin turbo V8 is to be offered with 400HP. I can deal with the looks for that.

Erick, good point on it being X7 instead of X6...that does make sense!

The Q7 definetly looks better than that. Speaking of, shouldn't that be the X7 since it has four doors?

Also, I do not understand why BMW is making a hybrid. With all the years in research with hydrogen cars (and Honda coming in fast with the FCX in '08), now's the time to start pushing the hydrogen.

I'm sure setting up the infrastructure in Germany out of all places, where the green party is strong, would not be something greater than a 5-10 year project.

That thing is fucking sexy. People dont like change, which I can relate to. I for the most part though BMW shoulda stayed with the car, and stayed away from the "SAV" as far as the X5 and X3 went. But that seems to compare the sportiness and tradition we're used to, with the little usefulness their previous SAVs had. It does look sporty and sleek, as opposed to just awkward (like the X5)

    I vote yes.
