I would if I was to get custom piping for a turbo etc I'd consider them.... however its a fair distance away and I have no time during the week cos of work and my Saturdays are usually crammed so I prefer a local spot for now. I'll keep them in mind though ;) thx for the tip...so you drive all the way from PA to Trenton?

E9nine: 908-782-9322 speak with Dante. Place is right on 202 next to the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Dealership and right across the street from the Hunterdon Cinemas.Originally posted by e9nineNice..very very nice....now do you happen to have their number handy ;) ? Gotta try set up an appointment and ask for an approx. cost. Hopefully its not as ridiculous a price as some doofus quoted me in Maplewood two weeks ago...
Let me know what you decide to do as Im sure we can arrange to meet.

Thanks a lot Mario. I spoke to Dante and he seemed to know what to do...cut old cat off and weld new one in....he said it might be an hour labor or a little more.. I hope he's not too far off on the estimate. I would like to get this done sometime next week since I am going up to MA tomorrow (wanna come :) ? ) to go pick up parts and go karting with Greg and some other guys
When do you think you'll take your car in? I like how he's open late on Thursday so that's the "last-resort" day for me in case I can't get someone from work to drop me off...

Good deal! Im glad you liked what he had to say. My first impression of Dante was very favorable. Dante seems pretty cool - BMW Driver himself currently drives a 540 sport and used to own a e36 4 door M3. After the lease is up on his 5 he wants to get a SMG E46 M3.Originally posted by e9nineThanks a lot Mario. MA - karting. Sounds like fun, but other family comitments have me tied up this weekend.
You want to the CAT done next week. I guess I better hustle and get a muffler. Although I got my two older kids Thursday nights, I think I can work something out.
Even if I dont get my exhaust done next week I can still meet you there.

I honestly dont remember.....but, the lovely thing about custom exhausts is that you can tune them, if there's a drone of whatever, you can have a small resonator welded in
On the otherhand, its tough to find an exhaust that has a decent volume with no droning, the two go sort of hand in hand in my experience with I4s of different makes.BEERTECH

I have the dynomax. As Rob said, its got a nice deep rumble. Don't really notice any droning under acceleration, or not enough to be annoying.

Been thinking a lot about this exhaust thing.....I think I might just stay with the SS exhaust as I am real smitten by the overall build quality. However Im thinking about having the resonator removed. The SS exhaust I had on my 1.9L Z3 had no resonator and I assume therefore it was much louder.
At any rate, anyone care to comment about removing the resonator on a aftermarket system that came with one.
Also, thanks for all of the feedback provided to date.
