    Ford Festiva, with a twist.

I have never seen a lay out like that. Rear engined but FWD? How the hell does that even work?

Edit: It has a differential outa an E30!

i dont get it. Why make a fwd rear engined car? that seems entirely pointless. especially since fwd sucks...

In Sport Compact Car a few years ago, they did a feature on a Festiva that a guy built, called the Fastiva. It was actually pretty badass. Had some very simple body mods (parts from other Fords), BBS RM's, and turbo'd Mazda B6T engine. Pretty sick.

          Check it out!

years ago a friend of a friend did a tunnel ram 350 in a Chevy sprint here in Scottsdale. it was running 10" slicks in the rear with a narrowed 9" (wayyyyy narrowed!!). other than the hood scoop it had a stock body. the guy actually built a chassis for it so the trans and engine would be centered as much as possible (the tranny is actually in the passenger compartment with custom tunnel). after he got the chassis dialed he added a blower to it also. absolutely insane car!

about a year after my friend got done helping him with the car, he (my friend ) did the same set up in a fiat 500. he brings it to the good-guys hot rod show in Scottsdale all the time.

No, he said he is running a chevy TH350 auto tranny, how I dont know. Some how he has to be reversing the power flow.

My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather i will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW..What a ride!
