alright just got back from harbor freight, they have lots of odd tools ive never seen before, i wonder if the aluminum jacks they had are safe, i really need one for on the side of the road emergency situations since my craftsman one is like 40 pounds and way too big, the handle is too damn big as well even off the jack >_<

The oem jack that comes with the e30 is the most unstable piece of shit ever. I had my car fall off of it a few yrs ago. And no, I dont use it as a stand, only as a method of jacking the car up in the event of a flat.

If you have to pull the subframe and trans, you DON'T want to use shit jackstands. Come on dude, would you use 19 cent rubbers to protect yourself from HIV? Sears SUV 3 ton jackstands are like $20 a pair on sale.
I buy mine in bulk. Works out to 25 cents each ;)

Imagine if you had to pay full pop for the 10 you use a year.

Honestly dude, Cut up railroad ties work, IF you have them lying around. But might aswell just get Jackstands. They are sooooo cheap now.

lol. I gonnah order a spanking new one this time. I've decided to get a job in about 7 months so i'm probably going to start depleating my savings accounts. The real question is m20 2.8 turbo or 2.8 stroker and fresh paint and mtech 2 body kit.

I recommend using toothpicks, they've proven themselves in the past for me.
