Aside from the usual array of oncept cars from detroit it was pretty boring. No crowds was the best part as it was 10:00 in the morning on a Thursday. I think you will like the pictures I thought were worthy of posting here.

I like the new 5, especially after seeing it in person. The Gallardo is a gorgeous car. I saw a black one in NY last spring.

I can't believe the new 5 is over 50k and is barely bigger than the 3 series with the same engine in the 530 as the 330. But a 330iS decks out to over 4k which is nuts.

The new 5 series does look a bit too lexusy for me.
But how can they be 50k? That is just ridiculous. :?

It's easy with the way they (BMW) structured their options tiers. It is very much like the way GM does theirs.

I can honestly say I wouldn't buy a new BMW anytime soon. I did want a Z3 Coupe but now that they are discountinued I can't even think about it due to my wife wants a Saab 9-5 wagon or a Volvo V70 awd to replace our VW Passat VR6 when we leave Germany.

Wait till you see the price tag on the 545i when it is released. I am sure this isn't going to be a cheap upgrade.
