My Dad tried to teach me on his 81 924... didn't go well ;)

I ended up buying an 84 CRX for my second car that was much easier to learn on!

Got the basics on a ~91 i think Ford Probe GT, but then really learned in my current e30, 325ic. Bought it, didn't have a record of its timing belt change so i was going to order and install it the following week when I could. Unfortunately I was practicing late at night on a road extension and it snapped =(. Instead of just putting on a different head I just got it rebuilt, and fortunately the pistons were fine. I don't regret that but it was expensive.

Nice we had a brown one, but pops sold it before I could drive to finish our bathroom. So one of these days I'm gonna buy one again and fix it up for him.

Anyways back on topic. I learned on a 1992 Plymouth Sundance, which i purchased for $100.

I learned on a new 2000 Plymouth Neon (then new) that had 6 miles on it. I worked at a Chrysler dealership and my manager wanted me to learn manual since it was part of the job.

Whoever got that car bought it with toast clutch with no more than 20 miles on it
