So back to the first issue, yeah, after several months (October '07) stalling and then no communication (in December '07) I did need to "get someone's attention" and it worked. Yes, some folks vouched for him but after several more weeks I had to protect my own interests ($330).

So after this thread, he did call me and we did speak. So I deleted the majority of the info in the post and said I'd post again when all was worked out.

I spoke with him several times and we worked out all the shipping etc. I received the part today and all is well and done. The part was packed good and is in "as described" good condition.

All is good on my side of the deal and I agree with everyone that he's busy, got in an accident which didn't help and is a stand up guy.

This was the longest transaction I think I've ever dealt with and it tried my patience, but I trusted the opinions of others on the board and waited it out.

I have no doubt Matt's acool guy to hang with who would teach me a thing or two about E30's and he put me at ease with his communication once we did finally connect.

Thanks to all on the board who helped out vouching for him and calling him to see what's up. THat's what makes the R3V board great, I hope I can do the same for you all in the future.

Just wanted to add that I sold my Kopi's to Matt about two months ago and he is a stand up guy. He drove from SC up to Raleigh to come pick them up and even let me borrow his spare (which I still have) because two of my basketweaves didn't have tires mounted. To top things off he even let me drive his m50 vert :D


btw Matt, I'll try and get the spare back to you asap, I still don't have the tires mounted on my basketweaves but if you really need the spare I'll go buy a bottlecap from Bret.
