    too bad most satin paint jobs that look decent cost much more than a glossy paint job.

        The reason why sometimes satin cost a alot is because of the prep body work. Then if your car isnt the color black your looking at more for the engine bay pluse the jams trunk as well. other then that its just about the same.

          get your own paint primer to save a little money....... And if you decide to prep the car your self.

            i believe that lotus is a vinyl wrap, the M5 is a real deal paint job.... respect. I read up on it at 6speedonline.com when the owner had all the work done. He got flamed to hell for having baby blue brake calipers, he had a baby blue "time attack" stripe around those rims at one point as well.

              Nope, that Lotus is a paint job done by Specialty Car Craft. I remember reading the build thread on it over on elisetalk (now lotustalk).



              It's got some gloss black details in it as well (the door sills). One of my favorite elises.

                    Not a fan. The Lotus is the only car in this thread I don't mind in satin. The whole murdered out look makes a nice car look cheap.
