    Steering wheel details ?

Does anyone here know anything about a BBS steering wheel. It is a 3 spoke leather wrapped wheel with a FAUX carbon fiber insert on the spokes. It uses a momo hub to adapt to any car. I was wondering what ever I can find out on the wheel. But so far google has not been much help. The wheel came out of germany and I am not real sure if I am going to keep it or sell it. Here is a picture. TIA

Looks like faux fiber to me.

I meant to mention that it was a faux carbon finish. So you are right Jordan, but any ideas on manufacture ? Or anything else pertaining to the steering wheel ?

Nope, I honestly don't know much about that wheel. I've seen maybe 3 of them in the ~7-8 years I've been kicking it on the forums.

I should add that I have not taken the faux carbon inserts off to see if there is anything labeled behind it. But the backside of the horn button does say "italvolanti made in italy "

          Thanks for the input though

EDIT ---- SEEMS THIS STEERING WHEEL WAS A LIMITED PRODUCTION STEERING WHEEL MANUFACTURED FOR BBS OF GERMANY BY ITALVOLANTI OF ITALY....

            UPDATE ---

I dug into the wheel today and found this label as well behind the faux carbon insert once it was unbolted and taken off...

So it appears to be made by ITALVOLANTI for BBS back in 1990? Not sure if that is the date of manufacture or not. But from what I have been able to uncover it seems to be fairly rare.

I am not a huge fan of the carbon fiber insert though but it would be very easy to to either finish in any color one would wish too or fairly easily recover with a piece of black leather. But the leather on the wheel is in absolute perfect and new looking condition.

Either way what do you guys think of the wheel ? FLAME SUIT ON !!

How much if you don't mind my asking? I would buy carbon fiber panties for my woman if they made them. I will admit it, I'm a CF Whore. Fake is rarely acceptable. In this case, i'd let it slide.

i really don't know how rare they really are to be honest, last month there were a bunch kicking around ebay. i think they might even be making them new now. vitaloni used to make some really good aftermarket mirrors (i think they still do....), although i have never seen their steering wheels.

here's a link for a WOOD one in germany

I don't like it but hey it's your car right? Reminds me of a Blackline, I sat in someone's car last year at RRT's GTG and it had one. The hand postions is what I didn't like. I like my M tech II wheel.
