    Ebay help...

Anyone know what I can do if I think the seller is bidding on his own items to drive the price up.
Someone just bid past my “highest bid” and the bid was canceled. I won but I think the seller just did the bidding to find my “highest bid” and then made a lower bid with another user name. Of these two buyer one had (-1) and the other had (1) feedback. Also, the sellers other items had bids from these other bidders as well. No one else bid on the item, just these two and myself.

It wasn’t an expensive item buy any means but it’s still BS if that’s what he’s doing.

    TIA

Did you get the item for what you bid? If so, :wgaf:

I guess you can report him to eBay, but it won't really carry that much weight. Lots of people do it.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Well, the item was going to go for $5. He bid it up to $25.
I'm happy to pay $25 but if he's doing that I'd leave bad feedback.

hit search and lookup bidders activity, if it confirms your suspitions let ebay know about it.

If the same people bid on all of his other auctions and the items were totally unrelated I'd definetly think it was him driving up the bid price. Just leave him a bad feedback.
