why is my coolant boiling out

Hello friends, am in gatlinburg, tn 5 hours from home and I woke up this morning headed out of the hotel, noticed that the car was up to temp and had no heat, then the car wanted to overheat, I pulled over and pulled the thermostat out and ran it without it. Now it runs fine when I bleed the cooling system, and isn't overheating. But everytime I turn off the car the coolant is boiling out the overflow to the point that I have to re-bleed the system. Help!

May also be as easy as a new radiator cap.

Wait you have no tstat in it?
How bout buying a tstat for 12 bucks and running the car with all the right parts. Bleed the system then see whats going on.

I took the thermostat out on the side of the road when it ran hot, it turns out I looked at the coolant cap, and the 2 seals were broke along with one of the splines, towed it 6 hours home and ordered a new one.....I think that it wasn't getting enough pressure and thus boiling out.

It was 8 degrees outside the morning it overheated, I boiled the thermostat and it never opened so my best guess is that the thermostat stuck, then popped the seales in my coolant cap..........

What do you mean it wasn't getting enough pressure? If it got hot, it's more likely that your head gasket failed, or your aluminum head is cracked.

It'll get hot with a bad radiator cap, but I think his head is probably cracked too.

Pressure changes the boiling point of water.

Whether that has anything to do with his problem remains to be seen.
