Has anyone had any experience receiving wheels being shipped from Germany via DHL/Deutsche Post? I purchased a set of wheels in November and received the first package(two wheels) two weeks after the purchase. I had yet to receive the other two wheels. The wheels were shipped in two different packages with two different tracking numbers. Is it common for the packages to arrive staggered like this? This is my first time having something shipped from Germany. I have a feeling that DHL might of lost the package and now i am screwed. Any thoughts? thanks

I mailed some letters from Germany to the US with DHL and it took 3 weeks. That's quite long, considering the letters I received from friends back in the US got to Germany in about a week.
You didn't opt for insurance on those wheels? Come on man... what were you thinking?Comment

I had a large package shipped from the states using DHL to here a while ago. Only took about a week and all was good.

I ordered m30 motors mounts from Germany - they never showed. DHL couldn't even begin to track it. It go lost in the transition from german post to DHL.
DHL has very nice customer service. Not like FedEx - they make you feel like it is all your fault.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

I have had nothing but bad experience from DHL but only in shipping things here in the USA. I have never had anything shipping through them from overseas .... YETComment

no comment on the obscure delivery.
ive heard international shipments can be a pain if you dont have the paperwork in order.
I shipped Jordan's rear mtechII bumper via DHL and it was in perfect condition ahead of schedule, but thats domestic.
On another note, i had medical equipment delivered next day and they kinda fucked me over by not having delivered how they were required to (i had to pick it up that next night because they made excuses why he couldnt leave it, etc.)
Ive experienced ups and downsComment

I ship from Germany every week. As long as it has passed into DHL's hands you will be okay. Have them track it. If not then it is pain and you need to stay on them as they have to do the lag work with DuetschPost. I know use a freight company on all items. Between UPS/DHL and FEDEX I could have flown there a few times with all there mistakes.

one example:
i shipped 3 packages to one guy in Australia. One is arrived (DHL told me) but the acceptor said he received nothing, the other 2 ones are lost.
The lost rate is about 10% at DHL from my own experience.

I'd start in inquiry in your situation or better the seller should start one. He has to call DHL and it is very easy. I think you can't do that because you are not the sender.*** For sale: euro stuff, BBS steering wheels, smoked tail lights, bunch of rare wheels (5x120 and 4x100) ***
