Holy shit Bret, that could have been bad had the deer actually gone through the window. Glad your okay, here's a local that got lucky about 7 or 8 years ago.

Damn, man that sucks. Deer can do a lot of damage. I had a friend the had a deer hit his dually in the side door and slide down the side and took the fiberglass dually fender clean off the truck. It can also make one hell of a mess to clean up. Good luck putting it back together.

as the originator of the term R3v-ing your car no you didnt.

If you had said something like "I tired to avoid it by turning my wheel 20 degrees to the right and eased off the throttle and double clutched into a lower gear.... its not my fault its the state's fault for not having a deer crossing sign .. " or something that effect yes it is R3v-ing your car. In this case its just baaaaaaaad luck. I guess it was your b day present a few days late because as someone else said if you had been only a few feet slower you would of been picking hoofs out of the gap in your teeth.

go back! look for hawks since the stupid thing died.. (hopefully)

find it stomp its skull. look into its black pupils and see that it has no soul and rip its face off.
i hate goats, deer, anything with a black eye, and i think a deer one is oval which equals
            rip horns off.

Yeah, I thought about buying that car, but besides the rear suspension and a couple of body parts- it's pretty well stripped. If it was local to me, I'd probably do it- but with the expense of fuel to drive down there + tow it home, it's not worth it to me.

I think I found a complete door locally for $150- going to check on it today (IF I can get away from work for an hour or two...).

                Bret.

The worst part about hitting a deer is if they shit/piss when it happens. A friend center punched one in his GTI while I was riding shotgun. The thing let loose with piss that got all over both of us. Disgusting.

Definitely NOT coupe doors as they are short as hell and also framed .

                    And the answer is.........

                    BZZZZZZZZZZZT!!!!!!!

Measuring at the sharp body crease line, almost exactly at exterior door handle level, the ti doors are ~49" long. Sedan doors are ~42.5" long and coupe doors are ~49" long.

Soooooooo, it looks like the ti doors are basically coupe doors with a frame around the window. I guess if I lived in Cuba or something, I could take a coupe door and weld the ti window frame to it and be good to go- but I think I've found a complete ti door for $150 locally.......

Thanks for playing, please see Don Pardo for your consolation prize.....

What kind of a defense mechanism is that? Silly nature.

Hahaha , well now we know . :D
I'm actually a bit surprised that they are the same lenght as the coupe doors as the coupe doors look really long copared to them .
Must be the absence of frames that makes the coupe doors appear longer .

Good luck tracking the one down .
