    Rare OEM shift knobs?

I've never seen anyone else with this one-piece knob. I was told a couple years ago that it came out of an e30 m3. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My friend Jason has one in his IS, I believe it came out of an M3 or was an option....

I have the M-Technic 1&2 brochures and they show one piece knob and boot in both cars.

I saw this one in the junkyard the other day. Thought it looked funny, so I snapped a pic. It was night time though, so it's pretty dark.

You saw that in a junkyard? Better go back and get it, that's an M3 dogleg transmission shift knob.

The knob? I'd say at least $100 on ebay or over at S14.net.

The tranny? If it's actually a dogleg, anywhere between $2-5k. No bullshit.

Bwahahaha. You can get doglegs from Alex Lipowich for 1300$ all day long. Wish I could find one in a junkyard.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

Regardless, they're worth a lot more than regular 5 speed OD's. I'd be back there fast, but chances are good that it's just a knob stuck on there. If it was truly a CR, that's a hell of a find

Really? I could have sworn I've seen them go for way more than that.
