            thats true too...

I had a 07-08 E90 last week, japan metallic something red, leather, rwd, premium sound, heated seats, no idrive, six with the 2.8 L and the slush.

It blew the E46 out the snow. It was a loaner no problem few fees and got to have a e90 a few days.

So, who's up for fixing an A/C leak inside the dash of an E46? anyone?

Love my e46 as a daily. Glad I still have the e30 for track and weekends.

I loved driving my E46, but every couple weeks it needed something. I sold it after I couldn't fit any more paper in the service folder. That car was a money pit. busted control arms, door locks acting up, sunroof acting up, thermostat, radio acting up, crappy leather (1 month old, the damn bolsters are all cracked). list goes on-and-on.

I got fed up when the A/C went, and the shop wanted 2k to fix it.

The main thing I like about the E46 is my GF Doesnt bitch about the stiff ride, like she does in the E30. And plus, we got to get rid of the POS honda to get it, rather than the E30.... which wasnt happening.

I have not had any trouble out of my e46 in over a year, except for an alternator. Learn how to replace things yourself and it is not bad. Most of the things you listed are common problems on an e30 or any other car. The e46 is a reliable, well thought out and assembled machine.

I gotta say I love our E46 but then it's a daily driver. I'll be taking it to the track a couple times this spring cuz the M3 won't be ready but we'll also have the rental SpecE30 car to run so I'll get time in both. I already know the outcome...the E30 will still be waaaaaaay more fun on the track.

The only time I've ever liked newer (meaning newer generation than an E30) bimmers on the track is when they've been modified enough to feel like an E30. ; )

BTW, with good snows the 740 kick ass!

I love my E46. It is quite a bit quicker than my E30 and has a much better suspension because of the sport package. The e46 is a much more refined car. It is my daily driver putting 70 plus miles a day. I have not had an issue with it at all in the 2 years and 30 thousand miles I have driven it. There is something different about the e30 though it really puts a smile on my face when I drive it. I take it out about once a week or so now that it is cold. I try to find reasons on the weekend to drive it. I will spend all week waiting for the weekend to drive the E30. I dont spend all weekend thinking about driving the E46.
