Wow... i'm glad to see you guys got into this whole talk about mtechs. The reason i posted this was to get some feedback from die-hard e30 fans, like myself. I have an '87 e30 and i am fully aware that the mtech II doesn't fit my car without extensive modification. But b/c i have access to a body shop owned by a friend of the fam. This project will cost me nothign and i will get it professionaly done. However, i am debating what to do to my '87. My plan is to get it done perfect and authentic, with minimal mods. Except the usual like springs and shocks and such. However, in the near future i have a co-op coming up at school. And engineer majors get big money in those. My e30 would be complete by then, and i might consider selling it to reduce the amount i would have to pay for a '95 M3. Which will i have more luck in selling and getting more money for? A perfect '87 325i M-tech II (this would be rare to find with all OEM parts), or an '87 325i M-tech I? And i mean these cars would be PERFECT and alll OEM... maybe some alpina rims also. How much and what direction do you think i should take my project in? Also some price ranges would be nice.

M-Tec I I, although i am a bit biased, seeing as i'm hunitng for a black or brilliant red one at the moment.

I used to have an M-tec I, but it got nicked, they look best in lachs silber, like my old one.

Jake, the whole shebang. I want a 325i Motorsport ( as they were known here) But they get snapped up so fast it isn't fuuny. You've got more chance of a shark biting you in the bath tub, than you do of picking up an M325i down here.

The mtec II just needs the international bumpers (plastic), and the fron is bolt on. The rear isn't really hard to do, it's just time consuming and detail oriented to do correctly.

I like the Mtec I cuz it looks original and it's rare...

I like the Mtec II, cuz it really updates the look and makes the e30 look clean. But, although i've never seen one in person, it just SEEMS played out.

I wanna see an e30 with fully modded M3 bumpers. I love the rear apron on the M3.

That red e30 is sick! I love the oversized rear tires; makes the car look very muscular. As for the M3 bumpers, how much modification is needed? I'm guessing that since the e30 m3 fenders are different that it wouldn't just bolt on. It looks awesome though.

As for the mtech I/II discussion, I think it all depends on which e30 you have, the 84-88, or the 89-91. The mtech I is definitely a more aggressive look, while the mtech II is super-clean looking. I love how the mtech II sides and deck spoiler beef up the look of the car. I'll definitely be getting one eventually for my is'.

                          it'll fit.
Be prepared to spend $1500+ to get it.

oooo....oooo... time to start saving up. Thanks Unc, i had previously thought since it was an 84, and since 84's seem to have a few slight differences than 85+, it wouldn't fit.

Sorry, but the front end of this car looks like complete SHIT. Did he fit the brake ducts and foglights from a standard E30 into that M3 front spoiler? It looks horrible! And is it me, or can you see the stock E30 valence behind the oil cooler vents of the M3 spoiler? What's more is it looks to me like he just put the bumper and the lip spoiler from an M3 onto a stock 89+ valence. The rear and the side skirts look awesome, but the front really looks like hell.
