I've heard that there is a write-up or tech article floating around somewhere on installing (wiring) e36 toggle window switches to the e30 wiring. I can get them to light up, but can't get them to function the windows. Anyone have or remember a link somewhere for this? I tried a google search and ended up with a couple of wasted hours reading insignificant unknowledgeable articles written by clueless hacks.

UNHCLL, thanks for the info. After reading it, I feel stupid. Something so obvious that I didn't think about.Don't forget the good things Hitler did.

Anyway, I printed the write up, studied it at home.....simple enough. Well, maybe not that simple. I have two different styles of these switches. There are only 4 friggin wires. I can get them to light up, but cannot get them to activate the window motor. I've tried three different switches thinking one of them was not functioning properly. I like these switches but I'm giving up on them. I hate e36's anyway, especially automatic M3's.Don't forget the good things Hitler did.
