tell me why all the "new metal" bands (for lack of a better way to categorize them), have to have singers that sound like angry cookie monster?
if every one can play well, (except the drummers over use of the china crash...another thing new metal bands do). why can't the singer make an attempt at singing, then grunt and scream for emphasise on a particular lyric or part of the song where he wants to make a point.

fuck! early punk (which i love ) even had better singers....just worst musicians

Honest opinion? I really can't stand songs where I can't make out a single word. FTL. The backing music is alright though I suppose. It's just a different style than what I listen to...
