    Opinions Needed on Swap

    Hello all
    I just bought a COMPLETELY bare 88 325i shell (Jon Volk's old turbocar) and now have my first true dilema(sp?)
    I got a pretty mint 87 325i for FREE from an old boss. The body, well you can basically put your fist through but whocares, mechanically its sick.
    DO I:
    Put the m20 out of the donor car into the shell with all 87 wiring?
    Run the m20 for a month or two till I get my m30...OR wait to swap anything in until I get the m30?
    I dont care about the labor for doing two swaps, no biggie.
    THe concern is the wiring! Is it best to wire the m20 with that from the donor car knowing that I will be swapping the m30? Only way to make it run right? So no choice?

      My understanding is that wiring in an m30 is much easier on the late model cars (88+). But you have to use the m30 harness anyway (?) so there's not much point in putting in the m20 stuff if your just going to take it out again. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
