Should I buy and part out another E30 I found?

I'm trying to decide if I should do this or not. The only reason I can think of not to is that I don't want to tear down another E30 again. But on the other hand, my brother-in-law and I are getting really quite good at it (this would be the 4th one we've done), and I could probably make another $1500-2000 on it. It's a 4-door 88 325i, with no front bumper or valence, the engine is good, the interior is REALLY dirty but mostly good, and I think the front body panels are ok. He wants $1000, but I would see if he would take $700-800.

Do you guys think I should do it?

Sure your fund is getting bigger correct? As long as your wife is not dipping into it to bad. Your not breaking even on the deal are you?

Ebay is strange huh? Some days parts sell well other days they are low.

Nah, the E30 fund resides safely in my saving account which only have access to.

I came away with about $1000 profit from this car I just did, so I should be able to make a good profit if I buy this one.

If you have the spare time I'd say go for it. As long as the car has parts people are interested in, and things you know you can sell easily. Like a 5 speed conversion, good body panels, engine, interior etc...

How long was the process of parting out your previous e30?

Well, the first two we did only took about 3 days each, this last one a few weeks becuase we could only go a few hours every few days. I would be able to do this one in about a week.

Go for it I'm trying to decide if I should buy my self a parts car but I'm looking for someone to go in with me and split the cost as I don't have the full amount then split the profits 50/50(hint hint for any one in the east ) Except for the car I'm looking at I only want the engine from and then will part everything else out.
I think $1000 is a little high for a car to part out as an intial cost $400-$600 is a better deal.

Yup, I did. This will be the 4th E30 you've helped part out, you deserve something for all the work you've done.

If you have the time to do it, nothing but good can come from it, so I say go for it!
