    Wow, there are pink scribbles all over that post. My best guess is the ground strap from body to hood.

        Yes, it would. The car would be more electrically "stable" and the radio and other electronics wouldn't receive as much interference.

              Yes thats a ground strap for your hood.

              While we are on the subject does anyone know the part number for that ground strap?

              Mine is rotten and broke in half.
