spring identification - paint colors?

Ive been searching for 15 min and cant find anything.
What does the color of paint signify on E30 springs?

A list of each color would be great.
My springs have pink paint.
im also wondering about red paint(on a buddies car)

Well, when I put H&R sports in my car, they were red. But at the same time I took out old H&R's, they were black. Maybe the older ones were sold in black? I really don't know

Do you mean a paint dot?

I've seen some that had a yellow and blue dot on them.

i dont mean the entire spring. My springs are stock.
They are black with a stripe of pink going down the side.
I know that they are M Tech Sports suspension, im just trying to get you guys an idea of what im asking.
So, what do each different color signify when it comes to different stock springs?

i was wondering this too. my M3 springs have a white stripe and my old cabby springs have a yellowish stripe

Hmm, mine are red and say Eibach/Ground Control on them... :D
