    Two question for you guys

Well I bought an M50 but its really too damn cold right now to do the swap
so I want to store the engine for a while...I bought an engine stand to store
it and work on it later on. Thing is M50s are kind of long and have a lot of weight up front and the stand seems a bit narrow in the front. (I don't want it to fall)
So should I lengthen the front steel beam?(it's 13" wide)

Then there is the mass air flow...

Its really dirty and oily the question is should I remove the sensor
and wash the tube alone? I'm asking because the screws holding the sensor
in place look like the kind of screws you should'nt be removing...I don't want to mess it up

It will be fine. I bought a $27 750lb engine stand that held an M30 long block for about a year with no signs of anything bad. M30s are a little bit heavier and a little longer than M50s.

As for the airflow meter you can clean it with that airflow meter cleaner they sell at auto parts stores, I've cleaned them with regular old brake cleaner before but I don't know for sure that it's safe to do so stick with a dedicated AFM cleaner.

You cannot safely turn the engine around on that stand. I tried, and nearly had an S50 tip over onto the ground. Needless to say I nearly shat myself when that happened.
