    E36 AA Exhaust on E30?

I have an '87 325is with a shot muffler and an e36 AA Gen III sitting around the garage. Soooooo, I'm thinkin about welding the Gen III muffler on the cat back pipes from the E30. By chance, has anyone done something similiar? It really boils down to how good a welder one can find, and how much it costs for customer welding. Anyway, it was kind of a brain fart tonight, we'll see where it goes and I'll post "findings" later....

I know someone that has a UUC TSE setup on his E30, sounds good as hell. Just took a little adaptation to make it work.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

we fabbed a stock E36 M3 muffler on my M50 cabrio. It fit and sounded great. But obviously we had to fab up some of the bends and weld it as we went.

For grins, I stopped at Midas today. They wanted like $750 for one of their cat backs, installed. That's what got me thinking about the custom approach. Plus, with the big bumpered cars, no valence to work around...
