battery question

hey guys, i recently installed an amp and subs, now it seems like my battery is having problems starting the car. could this be the result of an old battery? do i need a better battery? i was thinking of getting one of those optima batteries. any help is appreciated! thanks!

why not just get a capacitor for your system

i was thinking of a capacitor but wasnt sure if it was completely necessary. my battery is pretty old anyways, i think i will just get an optima. thanks!
