Sold My Car, Obtained a loaner; have a few questions

As some people know on here, I had sold my car. Although, my buddy is letting me borrow his 90 325i automagic. I have one question, I cant seem to get the stock radio to work. On the display it says C00DE...So i think the stock radio is locked out. Does anyone know the universal code to make the radio work from lockout? And I had reset the battery, and it still doesnt seem to work. Thanks.

First of all, anytime you reset the battery and the code feature is enabled, that will come up. There is no universal code. The correct code should have come with the owner's manual or other paperworks.

this happened yesterday with my friends new e34 535i. He went down to the local dealer, gave them his VIN, and they gave them the CODE that came stock on his car. There are generic codes, but they are generic to each car...not to all bmw stock radios. Good luck saul.

The dealer should have it. They always told me though that the default code is 23123.

Our local dealer makes you bring ID, registration and the car has to be there or they think you're gonna steal a fuckin radio from the 80's.

How long did you leave the battery off for? It needs like 30 minutes. I use to do it for like 5 minutes or just a couple of seconds. My dad then asked me what the hell am I doing and told me it needs about 30 minutes. So I waited 30 minutes, and then it accepted the code. If the wrong code is entered 3 times it disables itself from taking the right code.
