What is it worth? Beater eta with M3 5-lug

    86 eta es
Bad "black" paint- all horizontals are oxidized horribly
Bad interior- Cardinal sport interior with cracks and rips
Front and rear bumper are unpainted ebay FG POS.
Sits on full E30 M3 suspension.

Unneeded story: Has not been regularly driven for two years. Was my mechanics car and he sold it to this neighbor for his son. Son dropped (some cheapo coilover kit) busted front bumper, oil pan, and front suspension pieces. Dad paid to have full E30 M3 5 lug and oil plan replaced. Son bought some cheap bumpers, drilled them in and hasnt driven it for two years. Car has been driven irregularly by father around the block and says it is fun to drive. Other issues noted CD player cuts out and sunroof only tilts.

Soooo.... I want it for the 5lug but for how much?
In parts I would say it is worth maybe 2k?
Rims are 16" look like E36 later sport pkg.

Sorry, did not bring camera to take pics. May go back to get some.

What the hell, offer $1200 and see what happens. You know you can sell the 5 lug crap for that if not more at the very least.

Otherwise, find a decent shell, put the 5 lug on it, put 4 lug on the POS and sell it!

He didnt ask what he should offer, he asked what its worth. :)

Simply enough, its worth that in parts, but as we all know, parts do not make a "car" worth more, persay.

So offer him what the "car" should fetch. Non running for a couple years, shotty int, poor ext. $750 :)

Going back tomorrow when owner (dad) is home.
I know he paid 1200ish for the M3 suspension 2 years ago and no idea how much for labor. I will see what he says about 750 though no point in starting higher.

Ummm, what is wrong with ETAs? I have an ETA, and it's gonna need some 5-lug love pretty soon.

                  Need ?

The only reason any non-M E30 needs 5-lug is if you're just trying to get your 5-lug wheels to bolt up without spacers .

Lol, nothing is wrong with etas. I enjoy driving them, it just takes a different style. The rest of this post involved my ass talking, so pay it no heed. Who listens to an ass anyway? ;)

Heh, that or pushing some serious rwhp. Which I hope to be doing soon enough.

It is just htat the only functional reason to run a 5-lug would be if you have a lot of money and are pushing more than 350 horses. If it was a nice eta, I could see it, but the title says beater eta.
Do you know what you're talking about? A functional reason would be "because you have a lot of money"? Did you pull that 350hp figure out of your ass? Given, I don't contribute a wealth of technical knowledge on these boards, but I know when to keep my mouth shut.

More reading, less blabbing. Misinformation sucks.

To the OP. Lowball that shit, I'd pay for the e30 m3 setup only. Get some pics, I want to see it.

A car with added power still does not NEED to run 5-lug .

But yeah whatever , just lowball those fuckers .
