    Driving with no bumper/valence?

So I got into a little incident with a mailbox ( :( ) and my front bumper and valence will need to be replaced. I had to take them off just to make sure there wasn't any serious damage and now I don't really feel like putting them back on again, as I will be getting new pieces soon (the bumper won't really bolt back on anymore, actually). I'll be getting the new pieces soon, but in the mean time, my car has no front bumper/valence, and I need to get it a couple places to get quotes, etc. Should I be worried about driving without these front pieces? (especially in the rain). There seems to be a fair bit of exposed wiring up front, and the AC condenser is totally unprotected.

The question: Is there a practical or functional reason why I can't make a few short trips without a front bumper/valence? My main concern is the rain.

Just don't hit anything. Everything gets soaked even when it's installed, it does not stop that much water.

The rain will not be a concern but if you have any bumper laws where you live, that might just be a ticket if you do plan driving it. Check your local laws.

And watch out for those jumping out in the road mailboxes...

In Cali fenders are a required component to use public roadways.

Ya, I think it is illegal to run without a bumper, but I don't really have much choice right now. Thanks for the help guys.
