Wire cup holder: Long Shot but oh well.

I really need a cup holder, but there's no way I'm dropping $150 for the HUSCO one. I have seen this thick wire type holder that attached by the front ashtray and all its a circular shape. Anyone have a part numbers or one for sale?

    Thanks,
    David

JasonC made his own I believe and rubber coated it black. He should chime in and confirm soon enough.

Yes, i made my own out of 5/16" metal gas line. But i think 1/4" would work too. Make sure to use different cups to make sure it is at the size you want. Cause i made mine to fit a pop can and it don't hold the larger cup from fast food places.

I made some of solid rod, just need to grind the weld and get them painted or powder coated, not sure on price yet, it all depends on cost of powder coating.

Good idea for the mounting points.

It was a pretty good idea who ever thought it up. Here's the original that was mass produced.

My car came with one of these when I bought it. I gave it away to a friend though. The craftsmanship that went into it was excellent, however. The welds looked better than in the picture, and the rubber bumpers are a nice touch.

I just sold one for shipping to a guy in Hawaii. I think he was thinking about making more of them once he measured it all out. If I hear anything I'll let you know.
