Have you done carfax? If it checks out then it seems like a nice buy. Just dont try and convince youself that its the right car. I know ive been guilty of that.

I agree. Auto-5sp isn't a real big deal.. if everything else about the car is what you want, i'd definitely say go for it.

I talked to the guy again today, and he is down for the sale. The only hang up so far is that he needs to find another car to buy first, so he is going to let me know when he is ready to sell it. But he doesn't plan to put it on the market for sale, he's just going to let me know first. And yes, I plan to check the car out THOROUGHLY from top to bottom.

I love that I'm getting such a positve response on this.
