    Are bmws/german cars "imports" or "euro"?

    What do you call them? And what is correct?

    they are both correct. They are imported from Europe

      I call it a few different things. Foreign, import, european import.

      1992 BMW 325iC
      1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
      1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 140hp

        I tend to stay away from the "import" label. "Oh yeah, I gotta import," just doesn't sound like my kind of thing. I guess "euro" is more fitting.

          Thats what I'm getting at. I get into "arguments" at school saying that my car isn't an "import" it euro. Import sounds like it should be Asian, euro is European.

          Technically they are imported, but its not an import by my book.

          Kids try to tell me "well where did your car com from?... germany" Well where did your new GM come from? Canada.... lol.

          But in truth, my VW (to which they are reffering) is from mexico lol

              No thats what the "" were for around arguments lol. They just make some snide remark about imports so I like to tell them their domestic cars suck and it isn't an import. Then they get mad and I laugh at them. ;)

                  guy I worked with the other day criticized people for buying X5 as they are not American. Told him that the X5 was more American since it made in Spartanburg than his made in Mexico Saturn. That made him pissed.
