Any One Have A Good List of E34 Fourms?

Is down, and I have a E34 525iT that I need to convert auto to 5-seed. I have all the nut and bolt skills needed. Have all parts minus a flywheel and new clutch. I would like to read a good write-up on the auto to 5-speed like I read here. I am really wanting to be sure there is a good way to defeat the trans program error that has plauged the last 2 auto mactics. Guess if you a using used that that is the risk you run. I am to the point of just doing a 5 speed swap like I did in my E30. Now I wondering if anyone knows a good fourm that Has good E34 info, post up please?

Haha, I was about to say the same. The E34 must be second only to the E32 to have the smallest following ever. However, bmwe34.net has quite a bit of troubleshooting and DIY quick fixes. IIRC, their forum section has been down for some time.

I agree with John, the E34 has so much more character than the somewhat boring E39s. I'm not knocking E39's, I used to love them when my parents had their 528iAT, but after we got into E34s, it's amazing how when you notice all of the amentities that you can live without. I'm still interested to see how E39's will hold up 5-7 years from now. E39's are great fun, but there's something about the E34 that makes me doubt how well the E39 will age.

E39s are nice. I really like the later ones like the 2001s and those nice 540 tourings but they just don't feel the same. They are too refined too, and plasticky. But for some reason the E34s just feel more raw. And being the last of the handbuilt Ms, it will always be special.
