      * Including the burnout the engine must only survive 900 revolutions under load.
THATS AMAZING! Pushing the engineering of a motor to the brink....

I know for a fact that is wrong. Nitromethane burns clear. Very cool to see. One of my hobbies is Nitro Powered RC cars and every once in a while you can see the unburt fuel in the exhaust catch for a second or two.

I don't know as much as you probably, but i would think the nitro they use and the nitro you use is a wee bit different.

The Nitro is the exact same. I fly R/C airplanes that use it they make almost 2hp in .46 of a cubic inch and spin a 10 inch prop 16,000 to 18,000 RPM
                  Summer '85 E24 635csi Winter '88 E30 325iX, I lose 25% of my hp before I even turn the key.

Thats some ace info. I'm British and I'm saying America makes the best Engines!!! Well they sound the best. Hopefully going to Santa Pod (Britains best Quarter Mile) soon. Never experienced drag racing before but can't wait to hear those big Yank V8's blasting down the track. Drag Racing is by far the best Racing Ever.
