where to find low priced 215/40/16 tires?

I am about to buy new wheels and wondered where I should look for that size of tire.
I checked discounttiredirect as they sometime have specials, $100 off, but they don't at this time.

Just found some Sumitomo HTR+ for $56 a pop plus $34 shipping for 4 of them. Are they good tires for road use?
    Thanks

    Franck

onlinetires.com has some selections in the $52-53 range.

I ran the sumitomo HTR-Z's on my old caddy

I loved them. Decent grip, predictable breakaway, dirt cheap, silent on the freeway and comfortable. Not the stiffest sidewalls but they rode great. I think the HTR+ is the replacement for the HTR-Z.

    I would buy them again.

          Hey Mike,
I just tried to call you to let you know about the tires but obviously you found out by yourself ;-)
I just ordered the 16x8 steelies in a et15 (5" backspacing) and I checked with Gross to mount the tires, they charge like $60 balanced.
          I'm ordering the tires now.

Check if you can get the fender roller for next week :pimp:

          Can't wait.

That's cool, they have a 7 day lead time on the wheels and the tires should be here by this weekend.
I don't think I want to mount the wheels until we have better weather but I want to test fit them and roll as needed so that it's done and over with.

Let me know about the 318is if you go tonight. Aren't you supposed to be at work?

You are going to be missing an INCH or so of rolling diameter... is that planned? Just looking out for you. Nice VW too!

You got PM, not sure what you mean by missing 1inch of rolling diameter

i think its the 215/45 that he needs to keep the speedo close to accurate.

                            225/45 would be even betta.

I'm actually looking into a lower kit than what I have.
Coil over seems a bit too much.
What options do I have that doesn't involve cutting, welding, etc...
I am dropped 1.6" front and 1.2" rear (with pads on)
