    Vacouver/Portland

I'm gonna be moving down to Vancouver, WA in a month or 2 and I was wondering about good mechanics for the E30 I'm buying. Also, what good junk yards and places to get parts do they have down there?

    Thanks

German Auto Repair in Tigard, OR (about 15 miles South of Portland) is a great place. Jan (pronounced Yawn), the owner is a great mechanic. If you can afford Marquee Motors in Portland, it's a great place too.

Kevin Boyd used to own a shop in Portland called Boyd Motors. However he sold the business about 5 years ago and went into day trading well he is now opening a new shop and he is probably the best mechanic in the NW. Back in the 70's he designed and built a turbo for the 2002. Road and Track and other magazines praised his efforts. He is Canby which is a drive but at $60 an hour he is the best price with the most experience on these cars

Where in Canby is it? What's the name of the shop?

Boyd Enterprise will be the name. The shop is not fully operational due to a contract he signed now allowing him to go back into business until August of 2004. I will find the number. His name is Kevin Boyd.

Nice. I'll have to look into his shop if I need any major repairs. Canby is about 20 minutes South of me.
