those are great. my son just turned a year and is obsessed with wheels of all kinds. plus, he does the 'gas' and 'clutch' hand movements like he's riding a motorcycle. that's my boy!

You guys and your sons. Fuck all of you. My DAUGHTER just turned two.

She at least calls my car "Daddy's Bimmer". And she recognizes E30s, she says "Daddy's car" when she sees them.

Just be sure she breaks that habit before too long, otherwise, who knows what car she will be getting into and with who, "daddy's car." lol

Make sure you teach him how to do a timing belt/water pump swap before he's in kindergarten.

And then you can make money off of him by loaning him to us that haven't got the balls to do it.

You can't change a timing belt and a water pump?

Do you change your own oil?

I can change a water pump and do change my own oil. I have torn down a complete e30 and am slowly putting it back together but timing is one thing I don't want to f*ck with.

But there is no reason to lie, I am afraid of changing my timing belt because
                        1)Never have done it
                        2) I mess up, my car is fucked and I can't afford another
                        3) No one around Toledo, were I have my tools and a garage, has done it before.

I would do it, if someone watched over me while doing it (NOT doing it FOR me), they would let me know if I was doing something wrong.

You have to start some where and that some where is to learn to do it, and not fuck up my only car without someone there to tell me not to do something.

So, Sorry if I'm not a BMW Master like you are but maybe you should realize that some people don't want to risk the outcome if done wrong.

there are all kinds of places on an e30 that he could stick his hands where you can't. starter bolts for instance
