Not an E30, but a rare as shit, badass BMW nonetheless. You wanna talk rare? There's only TWO OF 'EM!

The E25 BMW TURBO prototype was built as a celebration for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. For this occasion, renowned designer Paul Bracq created an innovative design for a BMW automobile, the BMW Turbo. The car had a 1,990cc BMW 4 cylinder engine, with a Turbo fitted. The car weighed just 980kg and featured gullwing doors and an ergonomically considered interior. Safety was another consideration in it's design, with an integrated passenger rollcage, crash safe deformable structures front and rear of the car and a colapsable steering column, thanks to 3 universal joints. The BMW Turbo was built by Michelotti in Turin and only 2 cars were ever built.

couple rare ones I have recently seen:

E21 323i baur (getting dismantled by me if no one buys it)

700 covertible (saw this one just the other day)

1600 convertible in near perfect shape (rode in it)

95 540 M sport red/black/6speed - one of 15? (almost bought it 3 years ago, kicking myself for not)

                    03 X5. 3 liter obviously.

There's a white Baur E21 here in Bend, it's beat to SHIT and has the square Kamei headlights.

there is a reason why most of these cars are rare.

The problem is that too many times, people confuse the word uncommon with rare.

It's like calling a Ford Edsel rare. There aren't very many of them because they were ungodly piles of shit. Not because they were a special limited run.

                            1958 BMW ISETTA 300

not sure how rare or uncommon but I have only seen one in my life and it was far from the shape this one is in.

could you imagine finding glass for the three door!
i have never seen any of these cars, but the three door is pretty cool looking.
