I'm not sure if there is some crazy backassward engineering that would keep me from intsalling a generic (ie walboro) high pressure/high flow fuel pump? 1990 325i.

E30Godz, I just made a thread about the Walbro fuel pump, I already purchased one, the 255LPH flow rate high pressure.
Check here for more info, BimmerJim also gave us his link with many pics of that pump installed/adapted in his fuel tank.
He is using the 300LPH pump, he told me is made for run lower pressure than the 255LPH, while the 255LPH can handle FMUs and that kind of stuff.
By putting this pump, you will delete the main/outside fuel pump and the little/secondary pump inside the fuel tank, will only run one super high pressure pump.Euro M3'87 NogaroSilver/Euro E34 M5 '93/Porsche 993 TT 97' Euro/Porsche 993 Carrera 95' Euro/Skyline R33 GT-R

About the code of the Walbro fuel pump is writed in e30tech,, in that article, I don't have it right now in my head. Just searcj for a Walbro of 255LPH of flow.
I'm runing Jeep Cherokee (SIEMENS) 21LB/H injectors with standar Vortech FMU 10:1
So far I know, the e30 has two fuel pumps, also the e30 3, a pre pump wich is inside the tank and pumps to the main pump that is out side, next to the fuel filter, at least that's how my OEM system is.Euro M3'87 NogaroSilver/Euro E34 M5 '93/Porsche 993 TT 97' Euro/Porsche 993 Carrera 95' Euro/Skyline R33 GT-R
