    Car Control Clinic

I did the car control clinic at Bremerton, WA yesterday for BMWCCA and had a blast the car ran great, which is a good thing after working on that car for the last year to get is where it is at. The instructors were awesome and loved my car and stole it a few times when doing the auto cross. (he even put my car sideways) it was a blast and would do it in a heartbeat. pics are coming soon from one of the other attendees

its amazing how much you learn at a deal like this. before i ever got involved with bmw's i always felt (like all of us) i was a good driver. your shortcomings are blatantly obvious on any sort of course. but its also amazing how fast you can learn and make corrections and become fast and smooth if you pay attention

Glad you had fun, how was the weather? It poured up here in the morning and then was very nice.

Bad things happened out there :[ I'll let them come and tell about it themselves, though.

Same here! I love talking to people and hear them say, "I'm such a great driver!" Then I ride with them, and they can't even navigate an onramp, much less change lanes without having to ask me if it's clear. lol

Glad you had a chance to do that! Autocrossing, car control clinics, driving schools - they all do a fantastic job keeping you on your toes when you drive daily. I've only noticed good things come from my driving experience thus far. And, there's only more room for improvement!

Yea my eta broke part way through the day. First time it has ever broken in 2 years. :( ONLY 150 miles from home. I had it towed to my uncles in Seattle (aprox 60 miles) I am about 90% sure the CPS died. I need to go back down next weekend and see if I can save it. Sux.

I saw you jacking it up to work on, that is one of the nicest eta's that ive run across. I was running the dark grey four door e30 with the black pro dynamic wheels. Dont feel too bad though one of the guys in my group who drove an e39 540i started blowing blue smoke and i think he blew a piston ring (it wasnt a nice way to end the day) best of luck on getting the car to work

Weather was great and it was sunny all day, it only lightly rained for 15 minutes while they were setting up the last autocross but the rain made it fun to drive on the vht from the drag strip

Yea, it was a crummy way to end the day. At least its at my uncles house in a safe place till I get time to work on it and I have another car to drive till then.
