    engine code or something?

    how do i check if the engine that my car has is the original engine that it came with?

                      21-06-88 and on another side of the block i found 1289 and on another place 575

                      this are the numbers i found on the heads 27/01 and 1705885

                      and this is my vin # WBABB1306K8274308

                      any ideas?

                          Dude, you are killing me. I'm pretty sure all e30 have a sticker on the head. Look for it near the valve cover, intake side - it should be on a 30mm by 10mm emboss on the head.

                          Of course I could be wrong, you car may not have come with one, or it has fallen off.

                                  i really didnt see anything... all i saw on the head was 27.01 and 1705885
